Absentee bids for certain items may be placed on the internet, however this is done as a courtesy for auction patrons who cannot be at the live auction. Bidders fully understand that the internet and the computer system must be fully functional at the time of the auction, otherwise internet absentee bids may be lost or unavailable at the time of the auction. In the event that the bids are not available at the time of the auction, the auctioneer must rely fully on live bidders who are at the auction, and at such time the absentee bids will become void. As a general rule, a tie bid between an absentee or internet bidder is awarded to the bidder who is present at the auction.
