Description
"While pursuing my art degree outside of Kansas, I often heard how people would label my home ""flat"" or ""unappealing."" and overlook the beauty of what Kansas offers. My body of work expresses the remembrance and appreciation that brought me back to my roots. Where I found my husband and where I want to be in life. As I travel, I like to take my own reference photos, but transitioning them onto the canvas is more of a general idea. When painting, I only use seven different colors: white, then two reds, blues, and yellows. This allows me the freedom to mix any desired color, control its vibrancy, and paint them how I recall the scene in my head." Oil on Canvas. Gallery Wrapped, 10H x 20W. MacKenzie Tastove is an artist living in Bazaar, Kansas. She has been painting in oils for the last seven years, focusing on landscapes and capturing nature's evening palette. Painting brings her joy, and she loves seeing the emotions, it spreads to others when finishing a commission.
