The courthouse is located on the corner of Market Street and Second Street, downtown Smithfield, NC. The auction will be held on the steps at the Market Street entrance of the Courthouse. You may attend the auction and bid live, or you may bid simultaneously on the Internet at 10:00 AM on October 23. The Johnston County Sheriff's Department is selling a +/- 3.2 acre residential lot. The property was seized by the Johnston County Sheriff's Department for the NC Department of Revenue under a warrant for unpaid taxes. This property is legally described as Lot 24, Madison Hall Subdivision, as described in Plat Book 52, Page 440. Deed recorded in the Johnston County Registry in Book 3487, Page 1.
