By registering and bidding on any item, the bidder/buyer shows acceptance of the following terms and conditions. Do NOT register or bid unless you agree to all the terms and conditions: Even though we do our best to describe each item with accuracy, we strongly recommend that you view the items in person prior to bidding. o All items sold "as is/where is" with no warranties expressed nor implied. Comments coming from the auction block supersede any printed material. All sales are final. We urge you to satisfy yourself for authenticity, condition and age prior to bidding. o Bidders are required to register prior to the auction. A bidder number will be issued at registration. o The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the bidding will be reopened between the final parties. o On the fall of the auctioneer's hammer, title will pass to the highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer. o We will execute phone bids and absentee bids as a convenience to clients. We ask that the bidder leave a credit card number and expiration date on file with the cashier. o Buyers that are present at the auction or buyer's that leave bids with the Golden Memories Staff in person or by phone, a buyer's premium of 15% will be added to the successful bid price and is due as a part of the total purchase price. If a Credit Card or Debit Card is used a 3% transaction fee will also be added to the final total. o Buyers who bid live on-line or leave bids though our on-line auction provider will be charged a 20% buyers premium unless stated differently in the on-line terms and conditions o Buyers will be charged a Georgia sales tax of 7% unless they present a valid resale tax number or the buyer purchased items by left bid, phone or on-line that will be shipped out of state. If the phone bidder/ online bidder picks up the items on our premises the 7% Georgia sales tax will be charged. o All transactions must be completed before the property is removed from from the auction premises whether at Golden Memories or on-site. o All buyers must pay for their purchases in full within the scheduled time frame (see Shipping/Pickup tab for more info) after auction ending. Forms of payment: Cash, Approved Check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. A bank letter of credit is always advisable for new customers and for on-site auctions. ONLINE BIDDERS- Credit card payments are run at the close of the auction. If credit card on file is declined, you must contact us with alternate payment information by the Friday following the auction or ownership will revert to Golden Memories Auction Co. Inc. Merchandise becomes the full responsibility of the bidder/buyer at time of payment and the bidder/buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property at that time. No lots will be released for shipping until all payments are made and cleared in full. oAll items listed as Local Pickup Only must be removed by the end of the designated pickup time (see Shipping/Pickup tab for more info). Please note that we do not have storage space for storing items that have been purchased. Items not picked up by the end of the designated pickup dates become the property of Golden Memories Auction Company and are subject to be resold. If you need to store your items please contact Champion Storage at 706-746-5559. They are located behind Golden Memories Auction and will be happy to help you. oShipping: It is very important to notify us in a timely manner if you wish to have items shipped. The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and charges. All shipping for Golden Memories is provided by the UPS Store in Franklin NC at 828-524-9800. Feel free to contact them with lot numbers from the auction you are interested in for a shipping quote. All shipping arrangements and payment must be made directly with the UPS Store. They are able to ship both UPS and USPS. You also have the option of contacting Joel Peters at SimpliMove, a local moving company at 706-982-2962 or a shipper of your choice if you are unable to pick up your items on designated pick up dates. Buyer is responsible for contacting, arranging and paying for any shipping for local pick up items. Bidders are encouraged to contact us prior to start of the auction with any questions about any lots. Once the auction begins, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to get back in touch with potential bidders in time for a specific lot so please ask questions BEFORE the start of the auction so you will have the answers you need in time.
