Extensive collection of steam, traction and oil engines and spares including unique Abielle engine, Rare horse works and gear boxes, dray collectable motor vehicles including restored 1912 La Buire, 1940’s Renaults x 2, 1960’s bus, Bedford truck, enamel signs, Furphy, collection of vintage outboard motors, selection cast wheels, carts, vintage tools, depression furniture, Bellows, Scales, Lithgow pottery and other smalls and collectables way too numerous to mention.
CONDITIONS OF SALE – BATHURST 2017 1. Buyers must be registered to bid or purchase at this sale. Photo ID is a requirement for all registrations. (See conditions of registrations next page). 2. Payment is to be made on the day of sale by cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard or VISA. Up to 2.2% surcharge on all credit card transactions. 3. Invoices forwarded to successful absentee / online bidders are to be settled within 48 hours from invoice unless by prior arrangement. 4. The purchaser is simply the highest bidder. 5. Any dispute arising as to the highest bidder is to be determined by the Auctioneer who may re-offer any disputed lot for sale. 6. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid or to bid on behalf of clients and or the vendor. 7. CAVEAT EMPTOR (buyer beware) applies to each lot in this Auction. 8. No Dogs / Pets are allowed within the Auction precinct and owners will be asked to have them removed. No exceptions regardless of breed or size. 9. All items remain the property of the vendor until payment has been received in full and to the satisfaction of Burns & Co 10. NO CHEQUES WILL BE ACCEPTED. Payment must be by way of CASH, EFT OR EFTPOS and a 2.2% surcharge (up to) applies to all credit payments 11. Delivery will not occur until payment has been received in full. 12. Should an absentee bidder and a floor bidder be locked on the same bid the lot will go to the floor bidder. Should two absentee bidders be locked on the same bid the lot will go to the absentee bidder which registered first with the auctioneer so get absentee bids in early and on the prescribed form. 13. Whilst every care is taken, the Auctioneer / Agent does not accept responsibility for items described incorrectly either in the catalogue or at the auction. Intending purchasers are encouraged to take advantage of the time given to view goods prior to the auction commencing. Furthermore no compensation shall be paid in respect of any error or mis- description. 14. None of the items are insured. At the fall of the hammer the item becomes the responsibility of the purchaser therefore please take out immediate insurance cover on any items of value. 15. The Auctioneer is merely the agent of the vendor in the respect of the sale of goods. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any default of the purchaser or vendor. 16. The Auctioneer shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the goods left in his care by vendors or purchasers. The Auctioneer gives no warranties in respect of these matters and no lots are to be returned to the Auctioneer. 17. The Auctioneer will inspect lots on behalf of bidders who wish to lodge their bids by absentee to ensure that the lots are as described in the catalogue. 18. As is the practice in all states of Australia, a buyer’s premium for floor bidders of 12.5% will operate at this auction on all lots including motor vehicles. This means for each $100 bid, an additional $12.50 will be incurred. A buyer’s premium of 15.0% will apply for all lots purchased by absentee and or online bidders due to the increased workload associated with this type of bidding. 19. Absentee bids will only be accepted on the prescribed form as attached and will be accepted by the auctioneers up until 4.00pm (EST) FRIDAY 23RD June 2017. All successful absentee bidders will be notified by email or telephone. Such notification will include information in regard to postal and packing charges – normally $10 per order packing charge (to cover costs such as bubble packing, wrapping paper, etc.) together with postage. The Auctioneer will NOT be responsible for the shipping of mirrors, over-sized items such as pumps, signs, car parts etc (i.e. items unacceptable to Australia Post). Purchasers are requested to make their own arrangements in regard to such items. 20. All items must be removed from the venue within 24 hrs of the Auction conclusion without exception unless other arrangements are agreed to. 21. The Burns & Co invoice is final with no disputes being entered into. 22. Please note carefully the order of sale and inspection arrangements. 23. Catalogue may change without notice and at the discretion of the agent / vendor. This includes the withdrawal of any lots at the agents / vendor’s discretion. 24. No items / lots are available for sale prior to the Auction.
